| SYL All Tournament Team Announced: U14B & U15G |
Quickstrike is proud to announce 3 players have been selected to the All Tournament Team in the U14B and U15G age groups! Congratulations to Nigel Joseph, Tiffany O'Keefe, Kim Sharo and Miranda Tarypey! Qucisktrike is very proud of all three teams that competed in the North American Finals. The trio were arguably the most successful of any club with three or more representatives with a combined record of 9-1-3.

TAMPA, FLORIDA - United Soccer Leagues released today the 2009 U15 Girls All-Tournament Team following the Super Y-League North American Finals held at Ed Radice Sports Complex in northwest Tampa, Florida from Friday, November 20 through Tuesday, November 24. Quickstrike took home the championship trophy in the U15 Girls Final. They beat six-time Super Y-League Champion, Cleveland Internationals, 4-3 in a penalty-kick shootout following an hour of scoreless soccer.
Quickstrike roared through group play, racking up seven goals in three matches to advance to the semifinal. Against the heightened competition from Group C winner, Alliance Academy, Quickstrike posted their third shutout in four days to meet up with Cleveland in the final. Tiffany O'Keefe and Samantha McGuire each netted a goal in the semifinal against Alliance, who had previously allowed just one goal in three games. O'Keefe finished the tournament with four goals. Her teammates, Kimberly Sharo finished with two goals and two assists and Miranda Tarpey had one goal and one assist. |
